Mothers Day Aftermath

In the aftermath of Mothers Day, I am feeling an extreme affection for the man who made me a mother.

And for sweet Eden who has made my first eight weeks of motherhood an adventure. Love her. Even though she decided to be pouty and fussy during our Mothers Day photoshoot. She decides to be pouty and fussy much too often for my idealistic tastes. Silly goose.

Also feeling grateful for my own Mother. She loves me as much as I love Eden - it doesn't seem possible that anyone could possibly love me as much as I love that little girl but I know my mother does. What a blessing it is for both of us to have some time living close together. Here's a sweet little moment from our Mother's Day activities.

Eden 'singing' with Grandma at 8 weeks old.

We also enjoyed some 'facetime' with Ryan's Mother since a drive from Texas to Utah for Mothers Day wasn't realistic. Maybe next year? I feel so grateful to her for raising a perfect husband for me and for her love for me as I've joined her family. Here's a little picture of her with Eden from their visit with us in March - isn't she a beautiful grandma - so fun to see her with Eden.
